Most of our buttons are hand made from natural material and in general should not be machine-washed.

Bone, rattan, stone, coral and shell buttons may be hand- washed with mild detergent or dry-cleaned.

Pieced dyed bone and combined horn and bone buttons should be removed or protected with a button clam before washing.

Wood, coconut, beetle nut, and horn buttons loose their shine when washed. It is best to remove them.

Metal buttons may be washed with mild detergents, dried at cool temperatures or dry-cleaned.

A well cared for button will last a long time.
